3 new jobs have been created here at Advantex on the back of continued growth and investment.
In the past 6 months alone, we have seen turnovers boast an impressive uplift of over 27%. On the back of this success, we are gearing up for even further expansion – investing in new technologies and 3 new exciting roles.
A Pre-Sales Engineer, Project Coordinator and Second Line Engineer will join the 50+ strong headcount and be welcomed into the family at our Gateshead based HQ.

In 2018, we had 6 new starters to the business, with Phil Docherty heading up our Marketing division and 3 new Project Supervisors with the appointments of Andy Fluen, Rob Winmill and Gary Searle. Our Installations team was also strengthened with Georgia Lowery, Joe Graham and Campbell Scott joining as Installation Operatives, and finally, January 2019 welcomed Second Line Service Desk Engineer, Paul Harrison.
We currently employ over 50 people and are based at Gateshead’s Follingsby Park business site, providing enterprise-level IT, Communication and Security solutions to customers across the UK and Europe.
Established back in 2002, we have grown significantly on the back of major projects for Hitachi Rail, Rockliffe Hall, Newcastle Airport, and Northumberland Estates to name a few. We are accredited by the likes of Microsoft, Mitel and Aruba, and were also recently awarded with the Cisco Premier Partner status. In addition to our accreditation’s and certificates, we have also recently been crowned ‘Most Innovative Solution of The Year’ at the Axis awards, something we are particularly proud of.
We are targeting to further increase our already impressive turnovers as we continue to invest in our workforce, utilising the additional revenues to secure new partnerships and technology – growing our already impressive arsenal of solutions.
Our very own Operations Director, Dave O’Connell said the growth and investment in staff and technology is key for the support of existing and future projects.
