Network Installation Supervisors

Main Purpose of Job:

To carry out installations at clients’ properties. The role requires extensive knowledge of network infrastructure (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Fibre Optics etc) as well as the ability to install a range of containment. The ability to diagnose faults and rectify in a timely manner also required. Good communication and customer care skills are essential. An excellent understanding of health and safety procedures is a requirement of the role.

Skills Required:

 – Must be competent at:

• Reading and updating plans
• Working safely at height
• Routing and dressing cables through a variety of containment systems
• Terminating and testing Cat6 and Cat6a cables
• Terminating and testing fibre optic cables (OM4 and OS2)

 – Prerequisites:

• ECS card – Network Infrastructure Installer
• Full five year works history to enable Security Screening
• Full Driving Licence

 – Desirable:

• IPAF Licence
