Gateshead-based Advantex Network Solutions has achieved the NSI NACOSS Gold Award
Gateshead-based IT and telecoms provider Advantex Network Solutions Ltd is looking to secure further growth after achieving the security industry’s highest professional certification.
The fast-growing firm has gained the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) NACOSS Gold Award, widely regarded by industry, the police, the fire and rescue services and insurers as the top mark for quality.
Advantex, which has sales of £4m and currently employs 40 people, supplies and supports a range of IP (Internet Protocol) camera systems and infrastructure services to regional and national customers such as GE Wellstream, The Gambling Commission, Nissan, SCS, Redcar and Cleveland College and Gateshead College.
It is the only North East IT firm – and one of only a handful nationally – to have gained the gold standard and achieved certification in less than three months.
The National Security Inspectorate (NSI), formerly known as NACOSS, is an independent, not-for-profit approvals’ body providing inspection services for the security and fire industries.
Achieving NACOSS Gold approval – NSI’s premier approval scheme – is a significant achievement and is awarded to firms that deliver the highest standards of service through ISO 9000 quality management as well as the relevant British and European standards.
Advantex directors Stephen and David O’Connell have invested significantly in the Follingsby Close-based firm to ensure they achieved certification and to demonstrate to the NSI that their business operates to the highest standards.
Initiatives have included the implementation of new quality control systems and procedures, as well as a number of specialist staff training programmes aimed at boosting core skills in customer service and care, security system engineering and installation expertise.
