IT WAS gold after achieving one of the software industry’s top supplier awards – Microsoft Gold Partner Status as a mid-market solutions provider.
This sees Advantex join the select group of companies worldwide who are a Microsoft Gold Partner, the highest level possible within the software giant’s network.
The move follows work by a number of Advantex’s engineers to achieve specific accreditations and deliver a high level of satisfaction among the company’s Microsoft customers, further strengthening its position as one of North of England’s leading IT suppliers.
Advantex, which has been using Microsoft products for the last six years, employs 60 people and has built a £5 million turnover on the back of new business and organic growth with clients such as GE Oil & Gas, Rockliffe Hall, and Caterpillar Articulated Trucks.
It also provides managed services to the education sector where customers include Green Lane Primary School in Middlesbrough as well as Hylton Castle School, Oxclose Community Academy and New Silksworth schools in Sunderland, and Durham Sixth Form Centre.
This latest success recognises the company’s strong commitment to Microsoft and working towards achieving the top Microsoft Partner level and core competencies.
As a Microsoft Gold partner, the firm can access exclusive and extensive services including sales and marketing support, and receive support for customer and business relationships.
John Prescott, head of IT at Advantex, said: “We have achieved a huge amount and this is another milestone on the road to building a really sustainable product portfolio that’s backed by an outstanding engineering and operations team.
“It’s also an important accomplishment, demonstrating an outstanding level of commitment to customers’ technological needs, both today and looking to the future.”
