Over the weekend our staff took part in a 12 mile hike around Hadrian’s wall to raise money for our chosen charity – Heel & Toe. So far we have raised an amazing £1,453.50 in sponsorships for children with disabilities in the North East!
Although a challenge, everyone involved made it to the finish line… some faster than others… We really enjoyed the day, spending time outside of the office and relaxing next to the famous tree in the Sycamore Gap; luckily the weather was on our side that day.
Heel & Toe
Heel & Toe are a not-for-profit organisation that offer an array of therapies to children including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy as many of these services can be hard to access. Their belief from the start has been that ‘No Child Should Be Denied Therapy Due To a Lack of Money’.
At Advantex we agree with this statement and have been raising money for this organisation through a number of activities such as dress down fridays, sweepstakes and a tuck shop. Our charity team have started a department bake off in which all the money raised goes directly to Heel & Toe. We have tried many delicious treats on a Friday. A win-win!
Charlotte Brown, who leads the charity team in the office said:
“We have a great time fundraising for Heel & Toe. Another outstanding effort from the Advantex Team!”
